Roxanne George heads women lawyers body

Roxanne George is the president of the executive of the Guyana Association of
Women Lawyers for the year 2002-2003 while the vice president is Rosemarie
Cadogan and the secretary is Sandra Bart.
According to a press release from the association, the executive expects to
consider the reform of sexual offences legislation and looks forward to a
continuation of its "Law and You" outreach work to other NGOs and
communities in an effort to educate the public about their legal rights and
responsibilities.
The association held its Annual General Meeting at the Hotel Tower on May 29
when most of the executives from the previous year were retained, the release
stated.
Other executive members are Dolly Sukhdeo, treasurer, and Melnia Cordis,
assistant secretary, as well as committee members Dale Kingston, Sheila
Chapman-Wong and Elvy Edwards.
