CONTROVERSIAL television personality Ronald Waddell was yesterday freed of a simple larceny charge.

He had been accused of stealing a bucket valued $350 from the GUYOIL service station at Regent and Wellington Streets, during the April 9, 2001 disturbances in Georgetown.

But Acting Chief Magistrate Juliet Holder-Allen dismissed the case against him, ruling that the Prosecution failed.
