HELP continues to pour in for Ms Odetta Blair and her 11 children, whose plight was made public when an old house in which they resided collapsed recently.

On Monday, the Guyana Relief Council (GRC) handed over $20,000 on behalf of the St John’s Boscoe Orphanage, Plaisance. Blair was also presented with a hamper of miscellaneous items.

A three-bedroom house with verandah is currently being constructed for the family in Sophia, compliments of Mr Frank De Abreu, Director of de Sinco Trading.

The house, which is scheduled to be completed by month end, is being built at Lot 172 Block `E’ Sophia.

Last week, Blair received her Land Allocation Letter for the plot, when the Ministry of Housing and Water in a goodwill gesture, approved a waiver on the remaining payment for the land.

Blair some years ago had made down payments totalling $34, 000.
