Dear Editor,

The more I listen to the leader of the opposition Mr Hoyte quite rightly and quite properly lambasting the Government, the sadder I become.

Whereas I had expected that by now he would have adopted the role of an elder statesman operating behind the scenes and giving advice when asked, I see him still behaving like a politician stomping the political trail.

Sad am I also that he has to be bandying words with his juniors in the government in every respect.

Clearly Mr Hoyte must realise that after several defeats at the polls his party not only needs a different strategy but also a new image.

It is time that this valiant warrior demit the post of leader of his party. It needs a new and younger team and one that includes females in the top echelons of the party.

Yours faithfully,

Joseph Eleazar
