Mubarak Kazan [ please note: link provided by LOSP web site ] in Stabroek News dated 9th April, 2002 would like us to believe that the elections held during the period 1973 - 1985 along with the infamous referendum of 1980 showed no racial or ethnic pattern. Kazan also referred to the landslide victories for the PNC. Either Kazan is insane or a recent escapee from Afganistan, and knows nothing of the long history of rigged elections from 1968 to 1985.

That is exactly the point Kazan sought to make, that the results were not credible, but he employed a sense of irony.
