Dear Editor,

Quite recently, I hired a taxi and whilst in conversation, I learnt that his previous occupation was that of a minibus driver. He said that he'd left because of the hassle in the system. I pointed out how dangerously they drove with no concern for the passengers. He admitted that it was wrong but retorted that they had to speed to make money for the bossman and the police.

He claimed that each day demands were made on them from various points by policemen.

During the trip he exhibited none of the negative traits associated with minibus drivers. As I reached my destination safely, I wondered whether if these pressures were removed from the minibus drivers could we see another side of them in Care-Courtesy and Consideration.

Yours faithfully,
