Mr Benschop needs guidance

Dear Editor,

It is my firm opinion that Mr Mark Benschop needs guidance. He has been getting himself involved too often unnecessarily. The Magistrate has been exceptionally lenient. It appears as though even the learned Magistrate has gotten fed up with his repeated appearances. The police, maybe out of frustration, unleashed a few body blows on him. The police are human beings, obviously they have to respond when pushed to the limit.

I am surprised however, that of the number of lawyers are representing him none has seen it fit to advise him. I really think that he is over re-acting. He has jumped all over the place, and still no one can determine what he really wants.

He is intelligent and strong in character. Therefore I expect him to act professionally and reasonably. Mr Benschop please do not get carried away with a handful of destructive so called supporters. My brother, let peace reign in this country, so that we could all better our lives.

Yours faithfully,

Tajpaul Gainda

Editor's note

However provocative Mr Benschop's views may sometimes be there can be no justification for an assault on him by the police. In a society governed by the rule of law the law should always be allowed to take its course.
