Broaden enquiry into killings

Dear Editor,

I noticed that Mr. Raphael Trotman and others are calling for the issue of so called ' extra judicial killings ' to be tabled in the National Assembly. As supposedly respectable citizens we should also seize this opportunity to have tabled in the National Assembly the issue of the acts of terrorism perpetrated by some sections of the society during the periods preceding and following all our general elections. Maybe Mr. Trotman can use the same forum to issue a call for an inquiry into these acts of terrorism.

At the same time Mr. Trotman could include in his call for an inquiry into ' extra judicial killings ' the many killings of Indo Guyanese which are perpetrated by the alarmingly numerous armed bandits. These armed bandits act in the capacity of ' accuser, judge, jury and executioner '. Such an inquiry would dispel any feeling that these extra judicial killings by the bandits are politically motivated.

Yours faithfully,
