My sympathy goes out to Leon Frazer's family, friends and country men. He will be truly missed by all law abiding citizens of this country.

This man stood up against all odds. When some of us sided with the criminals and condoned wrong, our super hero Leon, moved forward with mantle in hand and did his job as was required.

If ever our country Guyana can have ten people like Leon as crime fighters, this country would rid itself of crime and criminals, who would either starve or have to do honest work for their upkeep.

There are few people in our society who ridicule the good works of Mr.

Frazer and the police force, but these people's track records are always for the good of evil.

Mr. Frazer should be declared a martyr. He gave his life selflessly so others may live. He fought a good cause and did not die in vain. A true son of the soil.

Some place of high importance should be named after this stalwart and his name etched with the heroes of this country.

His wife should receive a life long pension and the Government should provide a new house and vehicle for herself and kids. Scholarships should be provided for his kids' education. This is the least we can do as a gesture of appreciation for the unselfish dedicated service of Mr. Frazer.
May God bless his soul.
