Vehicles still pouring in

Cars and mini-buses are still pouring into Guyana, according to information released by the Bureau of Statistics.

For the first quarter of this year the country's roads were burdened with another 1,322 new motor vehicles, down from 1,798 new registrations in the first three months of 1998. There were 442 new cars or 33% of the total, 172 mini-buses and 311 motorcycles. Since 1992 there have been 47,247 new vehicle registrations.
