Roraima Airways Ltd (RAL) has reintroduced its direct flight to Toronto via a Royal Airlines 757 aircraft and an airbus chartered from Premier Holidays.

The service had been introduced last year, but, according to RAL General Manager, Debra Gouveia, was discontinued because it was not viable in the low season. She told the media at a press conference at the company's head office, Cummings Street, that the service would leave every Wednesday, starting June 23.

The aircraft would leave Toronto at 1040 hrs and arrive in Guyana at 1635 hrs. It would depart from the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri at 1735 hrs and arrive at 0005 hrs.

Captain Gouveia said the fares offered by RAL were competitive with those offered by the other airlines.

From July 7 to August 25, a four-week ticket for adults would cost US$499 and for children US$449. For fares more than four weeks, adults will pay US$599 and children US$449.
