The World Boxing Association welterweight champion Andrew `Sixhead' Lewis will next Thursday make his second visit home in two months. Lewis is booked to travel on a North American Airline flight home.

Lewis' representative in Guyana Fisal Ally said that the champion will be home for a month and plans resting.

The undefeated `Albouystown Cyclone' sustained cuts over both eyes while defending his title against Costa Rican Ricardo Mayorga last month.

The cut over his right eye carried 12 stitches while the other required six. Laser surgery was also required. According to Ally Lewis will only do light training while in Guyana.

Lewis and the number one ranked Mayorga are expected to have a rematch in December after their bout ended in a no contest following an accidental head butt in the second round.

While in Guyana Lewis is expected to see the commencement of the construction of the Andrew Lewis Gym in Albouystown. (Steve Ninvalle)
