Waddell, Benschop, Corbin, Khan get new trial dates

Trial proceedings in the cases involving well known media personalities Mark Benschop and Ronald Waddell, and opposition party members, Robert Corbin and Jerome Khan have been set for a new date.

Benschop and Waddell, both of whom are television talk?show hosts were charged with making seditious speeches on separate dates. Corbin and Khan, chairmen of the PNC and its REFORM component were accused of leading an illegal procession.

The men were scheduled for court appearances before Chief Magistrate, Paul Fung?A?Fat, yesterday. However they are now expected to return to court on August 3.
