Guyana Cry of AIDS Project holds workshops, seminars

The Guyana Cry of AIDS Project's seminars and workshops continued throughout the country recently as part of its twining project between the Black Coalition For AIDS Prevention (BlackCAP) and Operation Blessing Guyana located in Toronto, Canada and funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).

In a press release it was stated that George Mohabir and Emanuel Mendonca visited from Toronto, Canada to carry out the exercise, which started on January 31, 2001 and ended on February 13.

The release revealed that the seminars and workshops were attended by 65 persons comprising church leaders, prison officers, community workers, teachers and students.

The first three-day seminar was held in Bartica, the second at Lusignan, East Coast Demerara and the last three-day seminar/workshop was held in Corriverton, Berbice.
