Lifeline Counselling expanding

Lifeline Counselling Service is now operating an eight-hour shift from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, inclusive of a telephone service via number 02-68684 for persons who wish to speak anonymously to a counsellor, a release from the organisation said.

The release noted that well-trained and experienced counsellors are available during office hours to provide free and confidential face-to-face or telephone counselling.

The organisation is located at 354 Cummings Street, Cummingsburg, between Lamaha and First Streets.

The non-governmental centre which provides HIV/AIDS counselling education and support is currently expanding its response to keep pace with the growing demands for AIDS-related services in Guyana. Care and support are also available for clients who visit the centre.

Meanwhile, Lifeline will be holding a fundraising Bar-b-que at the National Park on Emancipation Day and the public is invited to make donations to assist the organisation to sustain its services.
