Pastor Philbert London claims God has spoken to him and wants him to let the nation know he has plans to make Guyana prosperous.

London, the founder of Beacon Ministries International, told reporters at a press conference at Cara Lodge yesterday that God spoke with him three weeks ago, revealing plans to bring investment into Guyana.

London said God told him that he had planned the spaceport investment for Guyana by Beal Aerospace Technologies as well as the oil exploration investment.

The pastor, who hosts a television programme Revelation and Power on Channel 6, said that God wanted Guyanese and the churches to rise up to the development challenges facing Guyana and to stop the mass exodus.

London expects to be taken seriously, insisting that he was just bringing the word of God who had asked him to sensitise this nation. As to God's answers to the obstacles in Guyana's way, London said God worked through men and he insisted that the oil rig would return to the Eagle site from where it was evicted by the Surinamese Navy on June 3rd. He could not say when.

The pastor said he recognised that he might be accused of taking advantage of the existing circumstances Guyana found itself in for his own purposes in making such declarations. But he insisted that God called him to make the declaration and not to lobby for anyone.
