Tourism group head to address conference in Toronto

President of the Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana (THAG), Gerry Gouveia has accepted an invitation to make a special presentation at a conference on the role of overseas Guyanese communities in this country's development which the Guyana Consul General in Toronto is hosting for Guyana's 34th Independence anniversary.

The conference will be held on May 19 at the Ramada Plaza Hotel and Gouveia's presentation will be on "The Possibilities for Overseas Investments in Guyana".

Gouveia, who is also managing director of Roraima Airways, proposes to promote Guyana's eco-tourism potential and showcase local tourism resorts while in Canada, a press release from Roraima International Travel Agency said.
