A national exhibition and fair to display more Guyanese products and promote the 'buy local' drive, is being planned for Berbice.

The event scheduled for May 26, under the umbrella of the Guyana Manufacturers Association (GMA), is to be hosted by the Berbice Chamber of Commerce and Development Association (BBC&DA), and the Upper Corentyne Chamber of Industry.

The idea evolved from a meeting between representatives of the GMA and BCC&DA at the Berbice Chamber's New Amsterdam office where a wide range of business matters was discussed.

GMA official Norman McLean, has scheduled another preparatory meeting with the BCC&DA on the exhibition for the latter part of this month, and he expects to hold a similar session with the Corentyne business body.
