Two more road deaths over past 48 hours

Two more persons have keen killed on the country's roads during the past 48 hours to push the accident fatality figure to 35 compared with 29 over the same period last year.

Dead are Mohamed Ramnarine of Westbury, Essequibo Coast, and Rishie Nathur, 15, of No 19 Public Road, West Coast Berbice.

It was stated that Ramnarine was walking along the Westbury Public Road earlier this week when he was in an accident with a mini-bus and died some hours later.

Nathur was hit by a motor vehicle on the public road Monday. He was picked up in a semi-conscious condition suffering from multiple injuries and taken to the New Amsterdam Hospital where he died hours later.
