Full Court to rule on December 20

THE Full Court presided over by Chief Justice Desiree Bernard yesterday completed its hearing of arguments as to whether or not Abdool Yassen Yassin and Noel Thomas had a fair trial when their application for a stay of execution to facilitate the hearing of an interlocutory summons was dismissed on the grounds that it was frivolous and vexatious.

The Full Court, comprising the Chief Justice and Justices Deonarine Bissessar and B.S. Roy, will deliver its ruling on December 20.

Lawyer Mr Stephen Fraser had secured a stay of execution from Judge Winston Moore to facilitate the hearing of an interlocutory summons that was designed to secure the freedom of the condemned murderers.
