JUSTICE Claudette La Bennett, who had granted an extension of time for the Police to probe the circumstances of Donna McKinnon’s death before forwarding the report to the Coroner in keeping with a Nisi Order, has made the Order absolute.

This means that in keeping with an application by lawyer Mr. Basil Williams, for the survivors of the dead woman, Commissioner of Police Mr. Laurie Lewis is expected to forward a report of the Police investigations to the Coroner for the holding of an inquest.

Donna McKinnon was fatally shot on April 9, while a devastating fire was cutting a swathe through the Regent and Robb Streets section of the City, during the post-elections unrest.

Her body was found in an empty lot next to Freedom House, headquarters of the People’s Progressive Party.
