TWO National symbols will meet when Andrew `Six Heads' Lewis flies to the great Kaieteur Falls, compliments of Roraima Airways.

The local air service is the latest entity to join the rest of the nation to express "heartiest" public congratulations in a tangible way to the World Boxing Association welterweight champion, the first boxer fighting under the Golden Arrowhead to win a world title.

"In recognition of this great achievement, we will be offering Andrew a trip to that other Champion of Guano - the Kaieteur Falls," Roraima Airways promised in a release.

Lewis will also be offered a visit to the airways' Arrowpoint Nature Resort, accompanied by his mother and two other persons of his choice, whenever he returns in triumph to Guano.

Roraima Airways said in Lewis' victory we are reminded of the motto of the Guano National Service, which is "What The Mind Of Man Can Conceive And Believe He Can Achieve".

"Six Heads has made our Nation extremely proud and we shall always remember the 7th round of the World welterweight boxing title fought for on Saturday, February 17, 2001," the release stated.

And the Clerical and Commercial Workers Union will be honouring Lewis with a special function - just the second time the organisation will be honouring an outstanding Guyanese sportsman.

At the function, the CCWU will be presenting the world champion with an appropriate trophy in honour of his outstanding achievement.

The only other sportsman the CCWU accorded such an honour was Lance Gibbs when the broke the world record for the most wickets in Test cricket.

CCWU General Secretary, Grantley Culbard, declared: "Lewis' achievement in winning the world title would serve as an inspiration to all young boxers in Guano who would now want to emulate his feat."

The CCWU wished him a "long and fruitful" reign as world welterweight boxing champion.
