Guyanese Wins Award

Underrated Guyanese writer Churamanie Bissundyal has won the prestigious Vera Rubin Residency Award from the University of Miami, Florida.

Bissundyal is expected to leave Guyana in June and would be in the United States for over ten weeks. He would also be part of the Caribbean Writers Summer Institute.

Bissundyal is currently working on a novel "The Witch of the Iguana."
